Parting Shot
A slow morning, in part due to the fact that Michael, Sarah and family are off home. Lots of sorting and tidying.
The kids as usual were pretty keen for a fish so late morning we headed to the wharf. We got side tracked however by another water ski for Oliver, and then it was time for lunch and for them to go. How time flies when you are relaxing on holiday!
And then peace, just our family and Jim and Sue still here. Didn't last long tho ... "Dad, I want to go fishing..." So back to the wharf I went with Adam and Hannah. No little fishes however so Adam and I jumped in the tinny and headed out to green rock, in perfect conditions. No wind, calm, and a big school of trevally. We trawled around for around 30 minutes, lots of strikes, and landed one good sized trev and had to throw back a lovely little yellowtail that didn't make the 75cm mark. Too bad.
Then we helped a boat that had broken down, or at least alerted his friends, and then set off snapper fishing. One snapper, one huge porae, and lots for fun.
Home, dinner on the deck on a superb evening, and bed!
