with wings, restless

By rosa

every memory (reminded)

we celebrated christmas the next day, eating food and opening gifts and making another holiday to hold up against the last ones (I see them all neatly wrapped, like love letters, in an old cigar box or something, tied with red ribbon).

presents are still all strewn about, like these candles in the living room. everything is lively and sweet, and we're all eating leftovers for dinner.

(I'm growing up) and I try not to think of how limited a witness we can be to each other's lives, all scattered about the country. I try to think instead how wonderful it is to have such a precious thing-- gratitude and love for my beautiful family.

(I was torn between this photo and an entirely differentone which also seemed to mark the end of christmas... very happy to be photographing again on a daily basis.)
