My friend Fiona came down from Aberdeen to visit us today. She brought Amelie a gorgeous knitted jumper from Mamas and Papas to add to her new clothes pile. We had a nice relaxing day revolving around food and then she headed back into town to catch her train and we (eventually) ended up at my Grandma's. I say eventually because I managed to turn what was a short journey into a 40 minute long one from the centre of Edinburgh to Portobello. It was dark, I wasn't sure of the exact route and we had lost the satnav. I kept telling Chris to turn down streets but they were one way! We got there in the end and Amelie had a good play with the younger of my cousins and my older cousin's little one. I'm quite glad she can stand up for herself and although she likes to watch them play, won't be pushed around. Even at 9 months! Thats my girl!
