Steak on the Hoof

This friendly group of cows might seem to be doing the huddle with a storm approaching, and light rain when this photo was being made. Well, that may be, but if you look close, you can see the blue frame of the feedbin where hay has been left for their masticating pleasure. Also in the background behind these little guys you can barely make out a home wind turbine. This photo was taken quite close to my home, and I'm thrilled to see a local homeowner taking advantage of wind and solar power to eliminate or offset commercial power costs.

This was taken many a mile away from my recent blip of the very large commrecial wind turbine near Portland.
