Trunk

The Australian National University's campus is lush with greenery. On the walk back home, I noticed the peeling of this particular tree's trunk, and I liked the contrast between the old and new wood.

I wasn't sure how to crop this photo, and I'm still not sure if I've done it justice. The original photo had a background of more trees, but they made the image too noisy and distracted from what I wanted the focus to be. I ended up maintaining the length because I wanted to show how the peeling wound around the tree trunk. It was lovely to look at.
