A first for everything

The flight; uneventful.

Seeing the grandnieces and nephews after two years; all but uneventful. They are cute as buttons; smart, loud, funny and this is the first time these two New Orleanians have seen significant snow. It is, of course, a big brother's duty to explain to his baby sister how a snowball is made, even if he's never made one himself. As expected, the fact that snow wasn't soft and fluffy cotton but cold and wet was somewhat of a shock.

Food, fun and not a lot of sleep will be the main course on the menu for this visit.
