The vegie patch

One of the favourite parts of summer for me is the vegie patch when it is full of all sorts of goodies. No need to worry about the 25 minute drive to the supermarket for fresh produce, just out with the basket and pick what I need for a meal.
The herbs are in abundance, tucked in any spare corner, just can't imagine cooking without a handful of fresh herbs.
I am eyeing up the basil and my mouth is watering as I watch the tomatoes fulling out but not yet showing any colour.
The sage has gone to seed and am loathe to cut back the flower heads as they look so cottagey in amongst the coriander and dill.
