Lyon to Cassis
Breakfast was yet another scrumptious flakey delight. Afterwards we walked around and did a ~bit~ of shopping. Didn't really have much room for anything new so i got a pair of boots and a jacket, and Jer bought a jacket too.
Went back to the hotel to get our stuff, and waited around forever for a taxi. Why can we never hail one when we need it? Walked around the area for a good hour then finally snagged a cab. We told him we only had 10 minutes to get there, and we did get to the train station with 5 minutes to spare. Actually, Jer had enough time to run out to get a deck of cards. He barely made it back onto the platform.
We took the train from Lyon to Marseille, then Marseille to Cassis. We got to gorgeous Cassis by 3:30 pm and by 3:31 pm we were sipping a beer and panache (beer with limonade) at 'La Marine' and looking out at this breathtaking scenery.
Grabbed another 'snack sandwich' at 'Le Sund-wich and had our daily nap.
We walked along the waterfront and then had dinner at de Sol. Jer had the asparagus ravioli and moules frites, while I had the langostines soup with a salad, and the grilled sea bream.
