Evening on the river

After dinner we took a walk down the Waimea river. It had been a roasting day so it was a really pleasant walk in the cool evening sun.

I had a few cast with my fishing rod but all i caught was the far bank of the river! As i've still got a cast on Jayne offered to retrieve my lure but didn't realise how deep the river got so ended up soaked. She then lost her jandal in the river so i had to give her my shoes to walk over the pebbles while i got sore feet.

Not the most relaxing walk on the river but a fun adventure none the less.
