Lurking beneath

Enjoyed a lovely evening with friends last night having a Venison Stew and a couple of drinks. Checked the lottery when we got back and found I'd won £10 so well pleased. Mike back in work this morning so today I've prepared the stock for the New Years Day soup. This is a tradition where I make soup from a Turkish recipe and this always goes down well.

A miserable day, grey, rain and very windy, went over to Greenfield Valley with the dogs this afternoon where I saw this carp in the Meadow Millpond he was just below the surface. I was surprised I captured him and I've enhanced the colours a bit so you can see in a bit more detail.
