End Of The Home And Colonial Empire

The great thing about wandering around any area of London is that you usually find an old shop front like this one or what remains of an old advertising sign that would have been emblazoned onto the side of someone's house. Personally, I think i prefer documenting the faded glamour of old unloved shops instead of seeing what they were like in their glory days. Apparently, what remained of Home and Colonial was sold to Safeway back in the eighties and now if any of it is left, it would be probably be part of the Wal-Mart empire.

This too is another first as it is my first blip taken with an iPhone and the first in glorious technicolour. I will admit to cheating slightly as I have put this through the Instagram filter to give it a bit more of definition. If you would like to see some more, you can at either of the sites below.
