boxing day tradition

a walk on the beach - and for once it wasn't accompanied by an arctic gale! very calm today, tiniest breeze starting as we came back around 1130am but otherwise perfect. well, other than the crowded beach - there were at least eight people all told, and a couple of dogs!

i've seen years with snow on the beach right to high water mater mark over xmas, but not this year, it's given sufficiently that it's only at the foot of the cliffs - the seaweed is pretty well frozen tho, and a lot of sand has been washed away round the headland. plenty of coal tho ;-)
