Slap Boka

Bovec's impressive waterfall!


Travelled to Bovec on the 6:30am bus, taking the crazy hairpin bends up and over the Visic Pass. 1611m high with apparently spectacular views... for us however it was a tad foggy white. Impressive to see the big rivers in flood!

Walked round Bovec and stayed in Sonja's house (a kind women who let us use one of her spare rooms).

Set off on an explore and eventually headed towards Slap Boka... further away than we thought!! It poured down most of the way, though we saw lots of cool salamanders! Soaked and going dark when we finally got to the waterfall. Quite a scary walk back along the road in the dark :S Then pizza at the Blacksmiths, shortly followed by bed. Tired, aching, wet... but happy!
