Another of my Yucca plants.
Captured using moon light only.
And my trusty tripod.

This plant has the common name
of Giant Dagger Tree.
(or Yucca carnerosa Agavaceae)
It can grow up to 10-12 feet high.
And its swords are 3-4 feet long,
and very sharp!
It gets beautiful white blossoms in the spring.
They form on a single 3-4 foot long stalk,
with as many 50-100 flowers on that stalk.
Truly, a very dramatic desert plant.

And of course the always crystal clear
Arizona desert night sky.
Far from the Tucson city lights.
Although it does give a nice glow to the horizon!

Thanks for looking!

I've just posted an image for Nov. 26, 2007
as I didn't have a post for that day,
if you like, take a look at 'Me'.
