.... this is ice on a path in the wood. In places the snow has been so compacted there are bits still left although it's not anywhere as pretty as the delicate frost we had earlier (not that I am wishing that back :O)....

The largest piece of ice to fall to earth was an ice block 6 meters (20 ft) across that fell in Scotland on 13 August 1849.
