Legs

This is one of the four cast iron legs for my Crown No1 stove which I am currently restoring. This morning it was covered in rust. It took me most of the day to sand the rust back to bare metal and late this afternoon I decided to give them a coat of paint. They actually looked nice as bare metal but I knew leaving them that way would only be inviting the rust back.

The legs are just the first part in the restoration process. Some of the the internals of the stove are so rusted that I am going to have to manufacture new parts.

So it is going to be a longish project.
