Rainy Beach

Took a walk in the rain down to Flat Rock today. This is the view back to the parking lot, a little more than a mile to the north. The rain wasn't too bad, especially with my LL Beans jacket on. Everything beneath the jacket stayed quite dry, but my shoes and the lower part of my shorts got quite wet. With the wind blowing from the south, it was much less comfortable walking to the rock than walking back from it.

It's been a good, lazy day, otherwise. I spent much of the day exploring photo management software and, at the moment, I like Adobe Bridge and Google's Picasa better than Apple's iPhoto and Aperture programs. The latter two seem to get bogged down too often. Soon, i.e., tomorrow, it will be time to start preparing for the Spring Semester chemistry courses, which start next Monday. A good week spent preparing will pay off very well later with fewer hassles and headaches later in the semester.
