Campamento Italiano - Refugio Cuernos, day 8

Easy day today, a couple of hours up the valle de frances and a good Mirador to watch the avalanches come down the face of this Cerro Paine Grande (pictured) as the direct sun melted the ice.

The summit was such a great shape of snow.

I wonder how many days trekking you have to do before shoulders and ankles give up and stop aching!
