Eliza by Chance

Found an ancient church in the middle of a farmstead today - of the 20 or so graves I discovered this one:

'In Memory of Eliza Pike. Daughter of Thomas and Sarah Pike who died January 2nd 1864. Aged 15 years'

It is the 2nd January & she's laid there for 151 years - no sign of any graves for her parents, no idea who she was & how she died so young - but then it was rife in those days. I found it quite moving, perhaps I've been the only one in many a year who's paid my respects & taken note of her lying there under that gravestone.
