The Barge Inn

I could hardly believe it - a glimmer of sun, not much and mostly behind cloud, but enough to shine some much needed colour onto things. I was able to get out in the car this afternoon and found myself at Seend Cleeve, east of Melksham, on the Kennet and Avon towpath for the first time in awhile. This was taken outside the Barge Inn.

Although it was relatively mild, I found a surprising amount of ice floating about on the surface of the canal, as you can see in the two alternative shots taken a little further east near the bridge at Spout Lane in Sells Green. I also found yet another field with grazing alpacas - for another day.
