Shrek

Original plans cancelled, so after a very pleasant New Years Eve with a slap up meal and drinks at home we had a quick look at Hotels.com and decided to head down to Portsmouth for the night. Checked in, had a restorative coffee, then hit the shops at Gunwharf Quays for the first round of shopping.

Soon dark, the Spinnaker Tower lit up like a Christmas tree, and we headed for dinner followed by luridly coloured cocktails in a bar. The people watching (packs of girls dressed to the 8s for their night out) was worth the 2-for-£7.95 cocktail price. I must have dreamt that I drank a green drink called a 'Shrek'...

Ace night.
