nogbad's blips

Full of sound and fury...........

I had to collect Cal from Tenterden today and I really needed to get away from this screen and the house so I went early to take some photographs; I'd decided that I wouldn't impose another train shot on the Bliposphere as I rely on them too much.

First a bit of shopping - Tenterden has a Waitrose and it's difficult to resist - so now I've got some large-grain cous cous to play with! Then I took some shots of the Town Hall (erected in 1790) and the quaint black and white timbered shops and pubs and the fine medieval church with it's later, fifteenth century, tower. Then for hot chocolate in Costa and it was time to meet the train. Of course I can still take train shots even if you guys aren't going to see them so I grabbed a few. In part I'm interested in the trees now; the shape of the countryside is changed because things previously and decorously skirted by trees in leaf are now naked and visible. On the way back Cal and I were spotting mistletoe in the trees; it's been a good year for it and there is plenty.

Now I'm home with a cup of tea and I've been working through today's spoils and, frankly, they are so boring I almost slipped into a coma looking at them. They aren't even good enough for Flickr let along here so I'm afraid you have the train - again.

This is the moment the power is reduced as the engine clears the level-crossing after climbing the hill to Tenterden Town station. For those interested in this kind of thing - the engine was built in 1951; full spec on the K&ESR stock register. Hopefully you'll spot that I've been oscillating between time-frames by straddling a schism in the space/time continuum and I was thus able to take and reproduce a photo from a bygone age.

Sorry, I will try harder in future.........

Edited later: I've swapped out the image with the naff texture - thanks for the feedback guys (it looked different in PS and that's the excuse I'll be sticking with :-))
