A cat's eyes
"A cat's eyes are windows enabling us to see into another world." - Irish Legend
It's gray and foggy out. It's snow fog, the leftover snow is cold, the air warm. Unfortunately the beauty is ruined by dirty, icy whiteness, littered with soaked birdseeds, downed twigs and branches. Less photogenic than I wished with treacherous ice on the tramped down surfaces near my usual bird snapping site. Taking a tumble is one thing, but armed with a camera and 300mm lens makes it out of the question to try for a bird photograph.
Many thanks for such wonderful comments on my wren close up. It's sort of hard to personally top that shot today, so I settled on our inside goddess with her luminous eyes. I'm not commenting much, something that I love, looking and responding to images will hopefully resume later next week.
Our friend in Maine hangs on. Tomorrow will be a tough day with goodbyes to her sister and niece and our mutual best friend. They will all spend Monday night with us and we'll get them to their flights back west. Then the waiting and the sadness will continue from afar. Thank you for all your thoughts, and a thank you to blip, photography is such a solace these days.
