Down the Avon Gorge to the world beyond

Thought I'd try a view today from the Downs where I found gorse in bloom so the KISSING SEASON IS IN AGAIN - ever hopeful! - although in fact you can find it blooming year round if you are that lucky...

On less misty-moisty days you can see Wales in the distance over the Severn Estuary. I'll try that again one day. I like taking pictures of the river when it is low tide as the mud adds an extra dimension with colour, texture and shine. We had rain last night and I just wanted to show raindrops on the twigs to the left of the picture to prove we aren't frozen in any more!
