To The End

The last day of 2010 was full of much more than my usual end of the years. I went to Kirk in the Hills with two of my friends. They've been there several times before and wanted to go into the amazingly beautiful sanctuary because it's always been closed when they visited. Unfortunately, it was closed again when we went there. Instead, we went to the lake behind the church. It froze over and we decided to walk across it to the island in the center. The entire time Sharon and I were freaking out..thinking the ice would crack underneath. It didn't though, thank goodness, and it made for incredible reflective, deep shots. It was also very foggy, creating the ominous atmosphere over the ice. This is of Sharon walking toward me with the church behind her.

At night, I went to a potluck with my family. Then I also went to two more new year parties. I didn't get to take any pictures of toasting the new year.
