Dusk

Its been a restful and quiet day. I got a chance to start reading the second of the Weather Warden sci-fi series, which is light reading but getting better. One of my students has lent me the third book in the series so I need to catch up. I'm waiting for the next Rachel Morgan witch book by Kim Harrison but that's not due out until February. I'm also hoping to finally read Phil Pullman's His Dark Materials Triology of which the Golden Compass is the first book (and now a movie).

If you like vampire/witch/sci fi "literature" let me know what you're reading this winter! Now that the semester is mostly over, i'll be able to read more nonacademic faire. :-)

oh and if one was going to get a DSLR, which would you recommend? How do you think a non-DSLR which is 8mpi, 15x optical zoom with ISOs to 3200 would compare? (cybershot DSC-H9 say versus a Digital Rebel?) I might be looking to upgrade on a future blip birthday.
