Sir Francis Drake

I love the way that no-one appears to be taking a blind bit of notice of the couple in this shot!

There were Morris men performing on The Barbican today though I'm not sure why Sir Francis and Mrs Drake were there (actually it's Mr Q who used to be the manager at the local co-op, but we'll play along with it being the genuine Sir Francis).

I got talking to one of the Morris men and innocently said that I hadn't realised that Plymouth had a Morris dancing group, he smiled and said "Well, there's been a group in Plymouth since 1429" - I was a little embarrassed to say the least!
