Gull on Ice

I have had the idea lately to try and capture ducks as they try to land on the ice. I spent the day scouting out water that had both ice and ducks. While I was out at Swan Lake, I found the ideal location and took some practice shots. I was lucky and managed to capture two backlit seagulls; one gull standing on the ice looking up at another gull flying overhead.

I plan to head back in the morning tomorrow and spend a few hours experimenting with ducks on ice.
