Outward Bound

Container ship heading east from Grangemouth to the North Sea and beyond. Taken from Culross on the north side of the Firth of Forth. This could be a scene from a John Masefield poem - "dirty British coaster with a salt caked smoke stack, beating up the channel in the mad March days".
So glad to be out and about again after being retricted by the snow and ice for so long. Some of our local pavements are still not clear of ice and are quite dangerous to walk on. When we came back from this little jaunt, Mag & I set about clearing the pavement along the front of our house to provide safe access to the main road. We have also taken down the Christmas decorations and our tree (live) is now back out in the garden for next year. Memo to self - try and get a fresh set of outdoor lights in the sales!
