Fountain of...

Youth? With my grey hairs, I'm going with no.

Wisdom? The only thing this last year has made me wiser to is where to hide during earthquakes.

Health? Definitely not, too many health scares in 2010.

Luck? Let's hope so!

Along with 15'000 other Cantabrians wanting to get 2010 over with, I brought in the new year in Cathedral Square, where there was live music and then at the end a fantastic fireworks display!

I did take some photos of the fireworks, but as that was after midnight I couldn't use them as the 31st blip darn it! So this is a photo of a fountain in Victoria park by the square (We had to go for a wee walk 'cause Nix was getting bored) that changed color, I was mesmerised by it, and found taking a photo of running water in the dark not so easy, but I do like the way you can see each droplet separately.

Last year was a rocky year for New Zealand, we had the Christchurch earthquake, we had the devastating Pike River Miner loss, 29 good men died, we elected an idiot, and more importantly, I found my first grey hairs!

Here is hoping 2011 will bring some luck to New Zealand! (and not many more grey hairs to my head)
