Lake Hawea

Trying to avoid the crowds of Wanaka today (flooding in for NY's eve) Flooding being an operative word. We headed out towards Glendhu again this morning for a lakeside walk - alas the path wash flooded. Have been to Wanaka several times now and have never seen the lake as high as it is. So plan B - we headed out to Lake Hawea. Lunch at the motor inn there- fabulous vista from the units and restaurant which is where I took this beauty.
