Finally there
My my my, what a long winded way of getting to Japan. I wrote a brief summary to some mates at the time, so here it is again:
(You should know before this that our flight for Sunday morning was cancelled until Monday evening, so late Saturday night, we ran to Portsmouth and caught a ferry to Caen, hoping to catching the Paris to Toyko part of the flight)
"As you know we had to get a ferry which was bad enough in itself. Got to Caen where the snow was so bad all buses had been cancelled. Caught a taxi with a random French lady too (who was a life saver) to the train station, catching the train with seconds to spare, after having veered off the road and crashing in the taxi. No worries though, he just reversed and kept on driving lol.
Got the train followed by a DEATH TAXI to the airport, still snowy and bad at this point but the taxi driver didn't seem to realise. Got to the airport, told the plane was on time and rushed to just make it, then proceeded to wait 4 hours until we could actually board."
So we go there successfully yay. Proceeded to walk around Toyko a bit, and then sleep.
You have no idea how long it took me to get this photo.
