Fireworks on Calton Hill

This is the first year I have photographed the night afore celebrations in Edinburgh so I was very much swimming by the seat of my pants trying to be in the right place for the right shot. It wasn't helped by Edinburgh Council doing their usual of failing to deliver a pint of beer despite holding their gathering in the very place said beer is made. After neatly laying out barriers they decided the slight breeze had changed significantly to force all the non-press photographers to be removed from their location and stand behind the rest of the people who had just turned up - nice work Edinburgh!
