Another day, another paint job

The last paint job of the year. During the bathroom building works the stairwell was covered with carton taped to the floor, to protect the wood. Unfortunately the tape was so strong it took the dark varnish with it when we removed the carton after the work finished. So we were left with yellowish stripes in the dark wood.

The last few days we painted the stripes back to the dark colour it was. Tonight Bert painted the whole bit of flooring in front of our bedroom, so we can walk on it again tomorrow.

PS. we do have another way to get in/out of our room, we're not stuck...
