"Santa Was Here"

Let me set the scene for you......

Christmas morning. Early early morning. So early, it was still dark outside.
My family. Completely sound asleep. Dark room. Cozy. Warm. Silent.

Suddenly.......



(Door flies open) My Mom: WAKE UP EVERYONE, SANTA WAS HERE!!!!!!

My Husband (dazed and confused): What the hell?!

Me (hoping I'm still in a dream): Oooooh myyyyyy goshhhhh, SERIOUSLY MOM?!!!!

Our kids (confused but excited): Ooooo, okay, Santa? Who Nona? Who was here? Santa was here????

My Mom: GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP

My Husband (to me): Did that really just happen?

Me (shaking my head): It really just did.

We had a delightful Christmas morning with my parents and my sister and her family. A delightful EARLY Christmas morning. The kids were so excited and that made getting up in the dark much easier to handle. They raced down the stairs and each spotted their unwrapped Santa present. My son ran to his remote controlled car shouting, "AWESOME, just what I've been always wanting". My daughter ran to her 'Walking Puppy' toy and started hugging it. And my nephew, well he blew past the Bat Cave that he has been wanting forever and joined my daughter in hugging and petting her new 'Walking Puppy'. The look on my sister's face was absolutely priceless. PRICE. LESS.

Our holidays have been very special this year and again, I just can't can't express enough how important our friends and family are to us. We are very blessed.
