I'm not sure about this.
I suspect hdr's only work when you can't tell.  Anyway, this is a fusion of 9 shots, from a lookout near where I live in Blackheath, in the Blue Mountains just west of Sydney.
30' here today and no rain, tho those clouds look threatening.
