Periwinkle & the snow

A quick look tonight at the periwinkle that grows over a wall. I'm sure it's not actually growing right now, but it is just as green as if it were spring. Very different against the background of the snow.

I didn't have to worry about wearing boots out in the snow this evening for this photo, I wore house slippers instead. :D


Edited later: I've never thought of my periwinkle as an evergreen. I really don't recall it being quite this green during winter. It can be rather ratty looking by the end of winter.
