Flammulina velutipes Or English name 'Velvet Flank' the underside of, the usual view is this. Sometimes known as the Winter Toadstool & appears often after the first frosts & throughout Winter on decaying decidous trees - like one of the willows which is so full of fungi, moss & lichen, it's a fascinating place to see & to photograph!

Weather as dull as dull, so had to use the flash to get any bearing or colour at all on this shot - usually I hate the flash in daylight, but sometimes, needs must!
