In the bleak midwinter

Taken today, 29 December 2010, on route from London to Perth. Having left a mild and damp London, which has had all signs of snow rained away over the past couple of nights, it has been good to see some of the white, frosty stuff, a reminder that we are actually in the bleak midwinter. The train ride was a good, comfortable one - just a shame that we missed our connection by ten minutes so will arrive back at my parents an hour later than hoped.
