Break In

My neighbours house was broken into sometime last night. I reported it to the police when I went out this morning - and saw curtains closed and windows broken. Really feel awful. I have always doubted people when they say they 'didn't hear anything' but I genuinely didn't. Of course, I'm a bit zonked on painkillers by evening but I still feel genuinely bad about things. So the windows are being boarded up now, while police quiz all the neighbours and my poor neighbour is on her way home. Not such a Happy Christmas I guess.

PS. My x ray today was fine - it looked exactly the same as the last one so I'm not blipping it but I'm told it's the perfect break because there's no displacement and I won't require an op. An op? It hadn't even occurred to me I might need an op!!!
