Waiting for Surf

Kelsey and I took surfing lessons from our friend Winter today. The day started with a quick stop at the torta stand next to the Pemex station on our way to Playa Linda. After a short beach lesson it was into the water for many, many tries at "catching a wave". We both had some successes (thanks to Winter's help), but the effort to get back out to the waves after each ride soon sapped our strength. It was during a break on the beach that I captured this local surfer looking out at the water - I imagine he was looking for larger waves as he never went into the water the entire time we spent at Playa Linda. We, however, were perfectly happy with the small-sized waves, ideal for our beginner efforts.
