The 'big' thaw.

In spite of plus temperatures it has felt very chilly today. Probably because it is very grey and wet. The snow has almost disappeared and the ground is muddy in places. The usual route this afternoon, this view taken from the stile shows the melted pond. The geese are just visible in the background surrounding Mike who nips over the fence to feed them. Yesterday they enjoyed boiled potatoes but it's back to bread today.
