Fog is a cloud based on the ground

Thawed snow and ice seems to have evaporated into the atmosphere, transformed into mist and fog, which seemed to alternate today by the minute.

Whilst eating a late lunchtime pasta snack, the thick mist over the garden swiftly receded, or more accurately sank back down the valley's slopes revealing outlines of stark trees.

Inside, it didn't seem much better when I saw this Christmas decoration set against the front window. I normally prefer colour images, but this was nearly Black and White before I made it so.

My brain feels a bit foggy too, so perhaps a snooze before tea and cake might sort me out.
