An End to a Quarter
So endeth my last fall quarter ever and thus began my winter vacation. After finishing my finals yesterday, I was able to breathe again. This began with eating lunch with the roomies at our respective sandwich stations (my first time eating AT Lee's Sandwiches, RIP to its founder) and then seeing Fanny off to the Holiday Shuttle. Afterwards me and Maryann played some Mario Kart (I won but it was close 3-2). By this time, most everyone had disappeared from campus. We then packed up our poo poo and went home.
PHEW! What a quarter and what a decade it was. Between 2000 and 2010 I've gone from a fifth grader to a college senior. In that span of years I have grown more than I imagined I could (sadly, however, not in the height area).
I reflect on the people that I've encountered as much as the events that I've been through upon thinking of my journey through life and I can only imagine what's in store for me as I graduate and move on to the rest of my life. In this economy and these hard times, it's hard to think optimistically or even attempt to think at what could be. But most importantly, I've got to keep living because you never know what's around the next corner.
