Does Class Matter

Another night spend doing deliveries for the Chinese Take-away. This is one of the ornaments sitting around the shop, I hope everyone has as good a Christmas as he seems to be having!

The roads were lethal tonight.....it had rained earlier in the day and the low temperatures caused the road to freeze over.

Now I'm not a very political person but tonight the road conditions highlighted to me how class really does matter!!

The shop I work for is in Viewpark, a large council estate, it does however occasionally deliver to the next town which just happens to be Bothwell, a place with areas where footballers and multi-millionaires buy there luxury homes.

The roads in the council estates of Viewpark were solid with black ice and VERY slippery but there wasn't a gritter in sight all night however when we took the short drive to Bothwell there was several gritters and no ice on the roads.

The delivery in Bothwell was to a street in the small council area of Bothwell which required us to drive through a "private" area into the council estate.......as soon as we turned into the council estate the roads went from being ice free and well gritted to being solid with ice!

A case of who-ever shouts loudest....I know what I think!
