The Face Off

My persistence watching the bird feeder all day (and every day) has paid off! There is usually only one type of bird in the feeder at a time. But, today there seemed to be a face off between a cardinal and this other little birdie. The cardinal finally gave up and flew off. Maybe because the feeder was empty!

I am not sure the type of bird this little guy is - does anyone know? In case you can't see, there is a little bit of yellow on his head around his eyes.
