Is this Boxing Day?

Boxing Day was a treat for the servants who after all the hard work of keeping the wealthy fed and happy over Christmas were allowed to take the day off to go visit their families. Good employers would give each one a box with gifts, food, etc to take with them. Also churches opened their alms boxes on that day and handed out the contents to the poor.

When the 26th December falls on a Sunday traditionally Boxing Day is moved to the 27th December. But I don't know that anyone pays any attention to that anymore!

In any event, daughters slump in sloth!
