Maido

In my favourite street in Christchurch there is a fabulous Japanese restaurant called Maido.

It's fabulous because not only is the food fantastic; but the format is one where you buy lots of dishes, kind of like Tapas, Japanese style so you get to try lots of things. It's also ridiculously cheap, with many of the dishes only $5 or so, expensive is $9!

We took Adam out as a treat for completing his first year of school and doing so well. It sounds funny saying it, but he loves Japanese food and has mastered chopsticks - at 5 years old!
