Christmas ham

So many images to choose from today. All pertaining to a wonderful day spent in the company of family and friends around a table laden with the full menu of christmas fare after many laughs, hugs and kisses from opening the plethora of presents that oozed from under the christmas tree.

I decided on this one as it is evidence of my very first attempt at baking a ham. Bought from Havoc at the local farmers market it was a great success. Full of flavour, moist, rich and delightfully smokey.

Havoc only farm happy hogs free from antibiotics and other additives and we love their product. They also make an awesome Yorkshire bacon soaked in molasses before being cured. Makes for a phenomenal bacon buttie most Sunday evenings.

Lovely hearing from family living around the globe and it was good to see your faces too "D" family!
