We had a busy but exciting day today. We started off with a visit from littler Cousin, her and Katie had some hyper time bouncing around, singing, playing. Katie and I then bundled up, car all packed the night before, and headed away for Christmas.

We stopped in Bridlington to see a friend. Katie made herself very quickly at home, wandering round happily, playing chase with one of their cats. The cat pretended to be unimpressed for a while but before long, the cat was also happy with it all, and sat letting Katie poke and stroke her.

Midafternoon we left and went to Scarborough for a couple of really special hours with a friend who I used to childmind for. She had yet to meet Katie, so I was so looking forward to seeing her and introducing Katie. Katie again made herself at home so quickly, she was dancing along to a singing santa and played for ages opening and closing the cassette section of the stereo!! We managed to see all the family at various points during the visit, so it was wonderful.

From there, Katie couldn't quite believe her luck when we ended the day at Grandad's! She spent time introducing Granny and Grandad to baby Annabel (she now asks for 'baba'). A fantastic start to our Christmas break!
